Read More	The Deshler Rustler (Deshler, NE), Wednesday, August 4, 1937; pg. 1 Obituary Minnie Dorothea Marie Duensing, nee Gleuer, was born Oct. 3, 1859, in Norddrebber, Hannover, Germany. Here she was baptised and confirmed in the Lutheran church. Here she also was married to Frederick Duensing. They both came to the United States in 1884 and first lived at Bremen, Kansas. In 1892 they moved to Thayer county (sic) and lived a few miles west of Deshler. Then in 1903 they moved on a farm of their own several miles north-east of Byron. In 1921 father and mother Duensing retired from farming and moved to Byron. Here the husband died in 1932 and in 1935 their daughter followed her father in death. It happened March 18, 1935, when the deceased one was struck by apoplexy and remained paralized (sic) ever since. She was confined to her sickbed for over two years. Several times she had hemorrhage of the brains which grew very severe on Sunday July 11, and since then her strength went down rapidly. It must be admitted that she showed wonderful Christian patience during her long illness and that she remained faithful until the last hour. Wednesday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, July 28, she passed away peacefully. Funeral service was held in the Lutheran church at Byron and interment was made at the Byron Lutheran cemetery with the Rev. A.J. Grueber officiating. She leaves to mourn her death one sister in Minnesota, one brother and a sister in Germany, also nine sons with their respective families: Fred, Louis, Henry, Herman, Theodore, Willie, John, Otto and Eddie, 34 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The deceased attained an age of 77 years, 9 months and 5 days. May she rest in peace.
