Description	:	Minnie was the daughter of Brainard & Martha Jane (Vaughn) Lindsay, both of Jackson co, MO. Minnie's father was a Confederate Soldier and a pony express rider. He went south to Texas in the early 1870's and stayed in the southern part of the country the remainder of his life. Minnie's mother passed away around 1872. Drickey Unable To Keep On; Smile Continued Until The End Monday, Mrs. H.F. Drickey of Spencer passed away after several months of serious illness from diabetes. She was 68 years of age. Her usual good nature and smile and rosy foresight kept with her until the end. Even when a leg was amputated early last month, her disposition was practically unchanged. The Drickeys pioneered in this county 43 years ago. Minnie Lindsay was born July 4, 1866 in Jackson county, Mo. She was united in marriage to Henry F. Drickey on March 16, 1884, at Shelby, Polk county, Nebraska. They resided there until the spring of 1891, when they moved to Boyd County, homesteading on a farm southeast of Spencer. They moved into Spencer in 1916, where Mrs. Drickey passed away on July 9, 1934. The family with the exception of one daughter and a son, were present at the rites held at the Spencer Methodist church on July 11. Out of town relatives attending the services which were in charge of Miss Nelson, were Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Drickey, James Drickey and Mrs. P.C. Anderson of Rapid City; Dr. and Mrs. Floyd Perrin and Dorothy of Lincoln; Mrs. C.A. Ferris of Pierce; Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Vaughn, Ellen and Mrs. Luft of Fullerton, and Mrs. Carrie Thelan of Shelby.
