At the age of 10 years she came with her parents to Manchester, la., where she lived until the age of 19. She was then married to Frank Hollenbeck. The couple had two sons, Evert and Adelbert, the latter passing away Jan. 30,1929. On Nov. 7, 1894 she was married to John Oliver Huston of Cherokee county. To this union four children were born, Elsie, Vera, Elgin and Velma, the latter dying in infancy. In 1913 the family moved to Quimby where she resided until her death. Mr. Huston preceded her in death on Dec. 15,1934. Mrs. Huston united with the Christian church at Cherokee in 1912. She was a home loving person and a devoted mother, spending many hours with her garden and flowers. She leaves to mourn her departure her four children, Evert Hollenbeck of Chicago, Mrs. Elsie McCannon and Mrs. Jay Bennett of Quimby, and Eldon Huston of Sioux City. She also leaves 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Dec. 13, a prayer service at the home at 2 p m. and at the Quimby consolidated school at 2:30. Rev. H. J. Dawes of Eagle Grove and Rev. A. Rasmussen officiated. Mrs. Clarence Pinkerton and Miss Esther Pennington sang "In the Garden," "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Nearer, My God to Thee," Mrs. Allen Conley accompanying. Pall bearers were the grandsons of Mrs. Huston. She was laid to rest beside her late husband in the Silver cemetery.
