Mrs. Kennedy was born and reared near Onslow, where she spent her entire life. Mrs. Kennedy was born and reared near Onslow, where she spent her entire life. After graduating from the Onslow school, she attended the Iowa Teacher's College at Cedar Falls and was engaged in teaching before her marriage. In November 1800 she was married to James Kennedy. Mrs. Kennedy Is survived by her husband, J. R. Kennedy, one son, Kenneth and one daughter, Carol, one brother, Joseph Orr, and three sisters, Mesdames Janie Bullock; Mary Werden and Edna Wasson. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church at 1:30 Friday afternoon. It was in charge of the Rev. Philip Palmer of Cedar Rapids, a former pastor here. A quartet consisting of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Koon, Mrs. Othn Johnson and Arthur Noyes sang "Abide With Me. " "It Is Well With My Soul", and "In the Garden". Among relatives from a distance were James Orr, Mr. and Mrs. James Agnew of Walker, Rev. and Mrs. Palmer, Mr. and Mrs. Will Lamey, Mrs. Samuel Graham, Miss Minn Hanna, Mrs. Bell, Irskine Orr, and Mr. and Mrs. II. C. Orr all of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scroggle of Mt. Vernon, Mr. and Mrs. McAllister, Mrs. John Dennison, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford French and Mr. and Mrs. Forest Hutton of Hopkinton, Mr. and Mrs. James Buckner of Viola, Mrs. Mary Wickwire, Mr. and Mrs. John Neelan of Maquoketa, Mrs. Illa Hutton of Monticello, Mrs. Francis Adams of Ames, and Mrs. Fred Koch of Wyoming. Interment was made in the Wyoming cemetery.
