Hymns were sung by Harry F Lewis with Mrs. R.H. Little as organist. Interment was in Oakridge Cemetery. Minnie B daughter of Aaron W. and Rachel Hollingsworth Mead was born in West liberty, Iowa, August 3, 1888 and passed to her reward at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Dec. 7, 1950 aged 64 years, 4 months, and 4 days. She was united in marriage to Ralph P. Evans of West Liberty, Nov. 28, 1906. She accepted Christ as her Savior when a young girl being a birthright member of the Friends church. In 1906 under the pastorate of Rev. Joe Handley she united with the Methodist Church. She has been an active member all through the years serving as Superintendent of the Primary Department of the Sunday School and was never happier than when working with the children which she continued to do until she was called to her Eternal Home. She was an active member of the Woman's Society of Christian Service and also a member of Lotus Chapter No. 320 Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of the Muscatine Farm Bureau Chorus until recently. She was a faithful wife, a good neighbor and a wonderful friend. Her brothers Arthur and Roy G. Mead preceded her in death, she being the last member of the family. Vaughn Phillips, a cousin of Mr. Evans, was taken into her home at the age of four years and he has been loved and cared for through the years. She is survived by her husband, Ralph P. Evans, her foster son, Vaughn Phillips, and wife Ruby and daughter Jane who has been a great joy and pleasure to her. West Liberty Index – Dec. 14, 1950
