Description	:	Minnie C. Carter, 86, died Nov. 1, 1991 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepard in Havre. Funeral services were Tuesday in the Assembly of God Church in Chinook. Burial followed in the Wing Cemetery at Hogeland. Minne was born to Albert and Nora Hanson Statelen on Jan. 27, 1905 in Amery, WI. Her mother died when she was four years old. Burial followed in the Wing Cemetery at Hogeland. Minne was born to Albert and Nora Hanson Statelen on Jan. 27, 1905 in Amery, WI. Her mother died when she was four years old. Her father married Lucille Statelen a few years later. The family then moved to Turner where she attended school. Minnie married Albert Carter of Turner on Nov. 24, 1923 in Havre. The family lived and farmed in the Turner area until retiring in 1957. In 1958 they moved to Polson. In 1961 her husband died and she moved to Havre and has resided there since. She is survived by one son, Gordon Carter and his wife, Ruth of Clearbrook, MN; four grandchildren, Eleanor Daniel of Cortez, CO, Larry Carter of Platte, SD, Terry Carter of Clearbrook, MN and Lisa Emon of St. Cloud, MN, 10 great grandchildren. One brother, Albert Statelen, Havre, one sister, Winifred in Hamilton, a sister-in-law, Esther Statelen, Turner. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, stepmother, two brothers Vernon and Wayne and two sisters, Fay Morris and Esther Slotsue. Pallbearers were Scott Warren, Jim Tooke, Calvin Statelen, Sunny Birky, Greg Dyess and Brett Carpenter.
