Description	:	Obituary (from unknown newspaper) "Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.. for Mrs. Minnie Gruis, 85. Mrs Gruis died while attending church services in George Sunday evening. The funeral was at the Lyon County First Presbyterian church at George with the ev. Willis Nicholson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with arrangenents by the Vogelaar Funeral home. Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Gruis: Klaus Nagel, ronald Gruis, Lloyd Gruis, Steven Gruis, Daryl Gruis, and Dennis Veenker. Mr. Gruis, the former Minnie Casjens, was born in Grundy county August 7, 1886. ... Mr. Gruis, the former Minnie Casjens, was born in Grundy county August 7, 1886. She married Hiko G. Gruis at Grundy Center June 14, 1906. The couple lived for a brief time in South Dakota but spent most of their life farming in the George area. Mr. Gruis died in 1942. Survivors are four sons: Charlie of George, Harvey of Adrian, Edward of George and Elmer of George; three daughters: Carrie, Mrs. John Nagel of Little Rock; Viola, Mrs. George Jansen of George; Arlene, Mrs. Uffie Kruse of Sibley; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; three sisters: Lena, Mrs. Fred Harberts of Grundy Center; annah, Mrs. John Harberts of Grundy Center; Alyce, Mrs. Loren Kirkland of Oxford, N. C.
