THE DEATH OF MINNIE ARNOLD Clark's Hill, Apr 11 - Mrs Minnie E Arnold, 57, wife of Worth Arnold, committed suicide by drinking poison Tuesday at the family home a mile south of Fickle. Despondent because of ill health, she attempted to hang herself Sunday and her husband and her sister, Mrs Blanche Clark, who lived with them, had been keeping her under surveillance. Her husband heard groaning in the garage, and found his wife there dying. Death came soon afterward. Coroner James Kent investigated. Born near Stockwell, August 16, 1876, she was a daughter of Martin W and Fannie A Howard. Her entire life was spent in the southeast section of Tippecanoe county. She was a member of the Stockwell M E church, and was educated in Stockwell. December 22, 1909, she was married to Mr Arnold. Surviving are the husband, the sister and a brother Albert L Howard, of Stockwell., Funeral services will be held at the Monroe church, Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev J P Alford, of Clark's Hill officiating, interment in Monroe Cemetery.
