Description	:	Minnie Ellis Gilliland Reynolds, daughter of Mary Judith Choat and Marcellous Monroe Gilliland first saw the light of day on the 27th day of the month of Roses, 1872. And Keokuk County, the place of her nativity, was also the place of her lifelong residence. Her schooling was such as the common schools of her day afforded. New Year's Day of 1899 was a most happy occasion in her life, for then it was that she became the bride and wife of Clemmie B. Reynolds. Read More	Minnie Ellis Gilliland Reynolds, daughter of Mary Judith Choat and Marcellous Monroe Gilliland first saw the light of day on the 27th day of the month of Roses, 1872. And Keokuk County, the place of her nativity, was also the place of her lifelong residence. Her schooling was such as the common schools of her day afforded. New Year's Day of 1899 was a most happy occasion in her life, for then it was that she became the bride and wife of Clemmie B. Reynolds. To this union two sons came to gladden the home in the persons of Leo and Clyde. About eight years ago she rejoiced to make The Good Confession, and upon being "buried with her Lord, arose to "walk in newness of life"; Brother Heilman officiating. And those who walked in the inner circle aver that she was strong in her inner faith, ever abiding hard by home. Her illness extended thru several years, and during the past year nothing was spared in the honest and heroic effort to regain her health, only to fail in the attempt. For the past several months she was confined to her bed, and tho suffering at times intensely, she endured most patiently; her spirit winging its swift flight from the tabernacle of clay in her beautiful country home near Lancaster, just after high noon on the day before Memorial Day of the year 1924. She was a woman who lived much in her home and enjoyed it to the full. Those who knew her best loved her the most. That she was appreciative was evidenced even in her last hours. A conversation in her immediate presence reviewed a circumstance of the previous Lord's Day. Her friends had brought beautiful flowers and tender solicitations and sympathy. And on expressing her gratitude to them for being so lovely to her they replied that she had been so lovely to them. Overhearing us relate this episode, altho she was unable to move as much as her parched lips, she breathed out "I thank." Standing in the shadows she leaves a husband, two sons, five sisters, two brothers and numerous relatives and friends. Services in the Lancaster Church of Christ, S. O. Redacre officiating. Interment in Pennington Cemetery.
