Burial is in Columbus Cemetery. Ms. Asche was born May 21, 1910, in Platte County to Fred William and Martha (Dasenbrock) Asche. She attended Columbus Public Schools, and graduated from Kramer High School. She was a lifetime resident of Platte County. She had been employed by First National Bank and Trust Co. since graduation from high school. She served as senior vice president and a member of the board of directors at the time of her retirement and also served as secretary of the board. She has been active in civic affairs and was a charter member of the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce. She was active in Friends of Music and served as executive secretary for many years. She was a member of the Platte County Historical Society serving on the board as its treasurer and membership chairman. She was charter member of the Nebraska group of Natonal Association of Bank Women serving in all of its state offices. She was a member of the Tabitha Inc. of Lincoln Board of Directors and Immanuel Inc. Of Omaha Board of Directors. She belonged to the church and was active in Sunday School. She was the first woman to be a member of the Church Council and she also served on many committees. She was a member of the Lutheran Church Women and served as state secretary and in local organization offices. She was chosen as Queen Isabella IV of the 1978 Columbus Days celebration. She is survived by one sister, Thelma Richards of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Walter, Paul, Arthur, Fred and Harry; and three sisters, Hildegard Clausen, Martha Bogenreif and Olga.
