Description	:	The death of Mrs. Minnie J. Briels who passed away at her home came as a great shock to her many friends. On Sunday evening the news came announcing that the "silvery cord was broken" saddened the hearts of the entire community. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Morris, of Republic Co., Kans., and was married to Charles O. Read More	The death of Mrs. Minnie J. Briels who passed away at her home came as a great shock to her many friends. On Sunday evening the news came announcing that the "silvery cord was broken" saddened the hearts of the entire community. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Morris, of Republic Co., Kans., and was married to Charles O. Briels of this city on Sept. 2, 1901, to this union were born three children, who with the father survive, besides her aged father, mother six brothers, six sisters. She had been ill for the past two weeks, but on Saturday evening she was suddenly taken worse, everything that love and human skill could do was done, but it was impossible to stay the hand of death. Minnie J. Briels was born near Narka, Kan., on the 28th of Mch 1883, and was at the time of her death 25 years, 11 months and 10 days old. She was a loyal member of the R.N. of A. lodge. Sincereity (sic) of sorrow over the death of Mrs. Briels is not limited to a few relatives and friends but the many, as was shown by the great assembly of people who gathered at the church Wednesday afternoon to pay their last tribute of respect, also by the floral offerings which were numerous and beautiful. Funeral services were held at the M.E. church (sic) Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. Henry Stitt officiating, whose remarks were very appropriate and touching.
