Description	:	Minnie Jane Bezanson - 88, formerly of East Dalhousie, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born on June 8, 1922 in Fraxville, Lunenburg County, she was the eldest daughter of the late Hewitt and Hazel (Hiltz) Bezanson. Minnie spent most of her life in Nova Scotia, however, she did live and work for a few years in Garden City, New York; Calgary, Alberta and Kelowna, British Columbia. Read More	Minnie Jane Bezanson - 88, formerly of East Dalhousie, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born on June 8, 1922 in Fraxville, Lunenburg County, she was the eldest daughter of the late Hewitt and Hazel (Hiltz) Bezanson. Minnie spent most of her life in Nova Scotia, however, she did live and work for a few years in Garden City, New York; Calgary, Alberta and Kelowna, British Columbia. Minnie worked for many years caring for people in their homes. She also worked as a retail sales clerk and as a prosthetician for MacKay Pharmacy in Bridgewater. She taught Sunday School, was on the Anglican Church Visiting Committee at the Nova Scotia Sanatorium and B.F.M. Hospital, Kentville, a member of St. John Ambulance, an Anglican Church member, and a caring, loving daughter, sister and aunt. She was predeceased by her parents, a nephew, Jason, a great niece, a great nephew, brothers-in-law, Laurence Lonergan, Howard Lowe and Murray Barkhouse. She is survived by sisters, Annie Lonergan, Berwick; Marion Lowe, Springfield; Beulah Barkhouse, East Dalhousie; brothers, Arnold (Diann), Dalhousie; Chesley (Janet), Dartmouth; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 in St. Augustine of Hippo Anglican Church, The Forties, Reverend Frances Boutilier officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Following the service, a reception will follow in The Forties Community Centre. Donations in memory may be made to St. Augustine of Hippo Anglican Church, St. Cyprian’s Anglican Church, East Dalhousie or the charity of your choice.
