Read More	Minnie Lee Weldon, daughter of Sherman W. and Charlotte Weldon was born on February 14, 1871 in Jo Davis county, Ill., and passed away at her farm home southeast of Waukee on July 1, 1937 at the age of 66 years, 7 months, and 17 days. On February 3, 1892 she was united in marriage to Stephen Mader at the parental home in Jo Davis county, Ill. After a residence of four years in the community, Mr. and Mrs. Mader came to Iowa, locating on a farm in Boone Township, Dallas county, which has since been their home except twelve years residence in Des Moines. Two children came to bless this home, Anna Lou and Hazel Lee. While the family was still living in Illinois, Anna Lou passed away, Octobert 19, 1912. Besides her husband and daughter, Hazel Lee Manders of Waukee; Mrs. Mader is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Ella Forbes of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Amelia Zellers of Grand Junction, Colo.; Mrs. Cora Woods of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Lucy Deeds of Spokane, Wash., and three grandchildren, Madeline, Dorothy and Bobbie Manders, besides many other relatives and a large group of friends and long time neighbors. Four sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Mader united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Maple Grove on the Waukee charge, on July 8, 1900 under the pastorate of the Rev. Paul Gardner. While living in Des Moines, she was affiliated with Grace Methodist church and greatly enjoyed its services and fellowships. She has been loyal to her church and its obligations and activities even during the later months when ill health has made it difficult. She found great satisfaction in doing her part in the program of the Ladies' Aid within a few weeks of her going. She was also a much beloved member of the Tari-A-Wile club composed of the women of her community. Mrs. Mader was a strong personality with high moral principles and fine religious instincts. She was unusually jovial and jolly and even during the months of her declining strength she has continued to be cheerful and courageous. She bore life's ills uncomplainingly and bravely. Her many years of fine Christian living have endeared her not only to her home folks but also to her church friends and those of both the communities where her noble life has left its indelible impress.
