Description	:	Keyser W.Va., December 31, 2006 Minnie Louise White, 86, of Oakland, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at Potomac Valley Hospital in Keyser, W.Va. Born January 7, 1920, in Ryans Glade, Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Paul and Eva Lena (Thompson) Harvey. She was also preceded in death by her husband James E. White, Sr.; and by her sister, Eileen L. Steyer. Mrs. White was a foster mother in the early 1960's, raising newborn infants until they could be adopted. Born January 7, 1920, in Ryans Glade, Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert Paul and Eva Lena (Thompson) Harvey. She was also preceded in death by her husband James E. White, Sr.; and by her sister, Eileen L. Steyer. Mrs. White was a foster mother in the early 1960's, raising newborn infants until they could be adopted. She then went to work at Green Street, helping with handicapped children, and later to the Dennett Road School. She retired from the Garrett County School System in 1982. She was a member of the White United Methodist church. Surviving are two sons, James E. White Jr. and wife Linda, Marvin E. white and wife Martha; one daughter Beverly E. Callis and husband Dan; one brother Paul S. Harvey and wife Mildred, all of Oakland; seven grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends at the Burdock-Durst Funeral Home, 21 N Second St., Oakland, on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan 03, 2007, at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joseph Robinette officiating. Interment will follow in White Church Cemetery.
