Services were 1 p.m. Monday July 3 in the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City. The Rev. Debra Tompsett Welch officiated. Burial was in the Central City Cemetery. Mrs. Larson was born June 1, 1901, in Merrick County to Charles and Emma (Danhauer) Land. She attended rural Merrick County schools and Central City High School. She married Freeman L. Larson on March 22, 1920. They lived in Hordville until 1922 and then moved to Central City. During the Depression she taught sewing with the Works Progress Administration. She lived in Merrick and Hamilton counties all her life. Mr. Larson died in 1966. Mrs. Larson enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing and writing. She had written her autobiography and also the Danhauer-Land genealogy. She was a member of the Rebekan Lodge and the Royal Neighbors and attended the United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Lucile (Mrs. Paul) Schmoker of Mullen and Shirley Booth and Twila (Mrs. Dale) Campbell, both of Central City, 14 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry, one daughter Helen Flagle, and one granddaughter.". Minnie (Land) Larson had "Danhauer-Land Genealogy" book printed after she worked hard on it for years. The book also shown as "History of The Danhauer and Land Families of Hamilton and Merrick County of Nebraska" by Minnie Land Larson 1981. Minnie had the book printed by Lone Tree Printing, Central City, Nebraska. Spencer Patrick Spires purchased a copy from Minnie on 4 July 1981.
