Description	:	"Daughter of C.H. and M." Minnie Naoma Schreckengost was born in Keosauqua, Iowa, May 18, 1899, died at her [Charles Schreckengost] home near Pittsburg, at midnight, Nov. 16, 1908. She took the measles in May 1907, and was never well after that time. It was not long until she showed symptoms of diabetes, from which resulted her death. She had a very sweet disposition which showed in an unusual affection for her parents. She loved her school and Sunday School and was a regular attendant as long as she was able. Minnie Naoma Schreckengost was born in Keosauqua, Iowa, May 18, 1899, died at her [Charles Schreckengost] home near Pittsburg, at midnight, Nov. 16, 1908. She took the measles in May 1907, and was never well after that time. It was not long until she showed symptoms of diabetes, from which resulted her death. She had a very sweet disposition which showed in an unusual affection for her parents. She loved her school and Sunday School and was a regular attendant as long as she was able. Her greatest desire was to learn to play the piano and she had marked several hymns that she thought she would like to learn to sing, three of which were sung at the funeral services, names: "Will There be any Stars in My Crown", "O Happy Day", and "Meet Me Over There". The funeral services were held in the home church at Pittsburg, conducted by the Rev. J.W. Carson. The remains were interred in the Pittsburg cemetery Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1908 at 2 o'clock. "Minnie, we will not say fare well, Or ever murmur or complain, We feel they presence with us still, For loving saints can never die."
