Description	:	It is believed that Minnie Pauline Girdner was born in 1867 in Princeton, Mercer county, Missouri to Joseph M Girdner and China King (aka China Bull). Minnie's siblings were Sara (1865-?), Silas (1870-1870), Fred Elmer (1876-1945), and Lilly (1879-1968). Minnie married Anderson Hart Wills on 1 Aug 1889 in Corning, Nemaha county, Nebraska. Their first two children were born in Trenton, Hitchcock county, Nebraska. The last two were born in Kansas. The children were: Lois, Leon Floyd, Frederick William, and Grace Dorothea. Minnie's siblings were Sara (1865-?), Silas (1870-1870), Fred Elmer (1876-1945), and Lilly (1879-1968). Minnie married Anderson Hart Wills on 1 Aug 1889 in Corning, Nemaha county, Nebraska. Their first two children were born in Trenton, Hitchcock county, Nebraska. The last two were born in Kansas. The children were: Lois, Leon Floyd, Frederick William, and Grace Dorothea. Minnie became ill in 1906 or earlier. We do not know what she died of, but a letter written by her husband, Anderson, to his sister and brother, Jennie and Anton on 7 December 1906, from Berwich, Kansas stated: "we had the doctor come out again yesterday evening. We were afraid that she [Minnie] was going into a long sleep again. The Dr told me yesterday that she might die very suddenly, go into a dream stupor and pass away, or get up again and live several years." Minnnie died in 1907. The youngest of her children, Grace, did not understand what was happening, and after Minnie was laid out, a family tale says she curled up with the body of her mother. After Minnie's death Anderson wasted no time in leaving Kansas. The family story is that he packed up a covered wagon with all the household goods and belongings, gathered the children, added the casket, made his way to the cemetery, buried his wife, and continued on home to Story county, Iowa. Minnie and Anderson's daughter Lois was 16 or 17 at the time and later told her own children that she remembered sitting on the back of the wagon watching the cemetery where they had buried her mother slowly growing smaller in the distance.
