Pettit, of Drake University, officiating. The ceremony was performed at the elegant home on Hon. and Mrs. T. E. Haines where the bride has made her home. Promptly at 7 p.m. the bridle couple, preceeded by the officiating minister, entered the spacious west parlor where a large number of relatives and intimate friends had assembled to witness the brief but beautiful ceremony which gave Mr. Eshelman his estimable young wife. The bride was elegantly attired in a charming gown of fawn colored silk heavily trimmed with lace and wore red flowers. The groom wore the usual black. Mrs. Eshelman has lived in Altoona almost all her life and is a general favorite among the young people. Mr. E. is a prosperous young farmer living east of town and who also has a large circle of friends who will be glad to congratulate him upon his choice. his new house 1 1/2 miles east of town is almost completed where they will soon be at home to their friends. Many tokens of esteem were had, following is a list of the guests and the presents received: Mrs. and Mrs. Haines present to the bride was a deed to a house and lot in Altoona in block 5. "Our Wedding Bells" Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Perdue and Ivy. Silver bon-bon dish Ray Carter. Pillow shams Mrs. Powell. Silver butter knife Mr. Jacob Eshelman. This office was kindly remembered by a nice box of wedding cake and extends congratulations to this happy couple and wishes them unlimited joy in their new relations.
