Description	:	Minnie was born in Germany to Henry and Hana Wise Rehder. At some point they were living in Moline IL. She was the first wife of Christian G.E. Obenland. They were married on Sept. 10, 1893 in Garfield County, WA. The couple had one child, Vera Doretha. Their daughter only lived for 6 months, dying on Dec. 22, 1895. Minnie died not quite a year later. Obenland, died at her home in this city at 3 o'clock on the morning of Sept. 26, 1896 at the age of 25 years. Mrs. Obenland was born in Germany but came to the United States when a small child. They settled in Illinois where she grew to womanhood. She came to this county in 1891, and made her home with Henry Krouse, her uncle, at Pataha, until she was united in marriage with C. Obenland of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Obenland were blessed with a child, but it died last December at the age of six months. In the fore part of June, Mrs. Obenland went to Moline, Illinois, in the hope of improving her failing health. She did not seem to get better, however, and she was brought home by her husband, arriving here on the 9th of September, since which time she gradually failed until death came to her relief. She was buried in the city cemetery by the Lodge of Rathbone Sisters of which order she was an honored member. She was a Christian, and died in the hope of immortality beyond the resurrection."
