Description	:	Obituary Minnie Klarenbeek, 86, of Sioux Center died unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at her residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Netherlands Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with the Rev. G.M. de Leeuw officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. There will be a family prayer service at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Minnie Klarenbeek was born Aug. 14, 1920, to Jake and Netta (Beukhof) Van Roekel, in Inwood, Iowa. She was raised in the Inwood and Rock Valley, Iowa area. She attended country school through the eighth grade. She was united in marriage to William Klarenbeek on Dec. 16, 1941, in Alvord, Iowa. They farmed near Corsica, S.D., for 11 years. The couple later moved to Orange City, Iowa, where he was a painter. In 1983, they retired and moved to Sioux Center. William preceded her in death on April 11, 1987. She was a member of Netherlands Reformed Congregation. She enjoyed spending time with her family and working as a foster grandparent. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, William; her parents; four brothers, John, Jake, Tony and Willie Van Roekel; and three sisters-in-law, Josie, Elbertha and Margaret Van Roekel.
