MINNIE THOMSEN Mrs. Minnie Thomsen, 65, mother of Mrs. Otto Dlouhy of Schuyler, passed away late Saturday afternoon at the state hospital in Lincoln where she had been a patient the past seven years. The remains were brought to Schuyler Monday evening and taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dlouhy to await the hour of the funeral rites. Funeral rites were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Schuyler First Presbyterian church, the pastor, the Rev. Wilbur G. White, Officiating. Burial was made in the Pleasant Valley cemetery in Dodge county where rest the remains of an infant daughter who passed away a number of years ago and of the husband, who passed away on August 10, 1927. Mrs. Thomsen's maiden name was Miss Minnie Winkleman. She was born at Schleswig, Hostein, Germany, on March 23, 1867. She was 14 years of age when she came to America with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Clause Winkleman, who settled on a farm near Hooper in Dodge county. She was united in marriage to John Thomsen at Fremont on May 3, 1884. Mr. and Mrs. Thomsen resided on a farm in Pleasant Valley township of Dodge county for a number of years after their marriage. The following children survived: Ernest, Roy and Lester, all of West Point; August, Amiel and Mrs. Margaret of Hooper; Mrs. Otto Dlouhy of Schuyler, Mrs. Carl Phillips of Mount Vernon, Illinois. The deceased is also survived by two brothers, William Winkleman of Dalton and Henry Winkleman of Hooper, one sister, Mrs. Carl Kroeger of Hooper and 13 grandchildren. Mrs. Thomsen was a member of the Schuyler Degee of Honor lodge. She was very well and favorably known in Dodge county where so many years of her life were spent and where she had many friends.
