Read More	Gaffney Ledger obituary October 5, 2015 Miriam Jones Jennings, 77, of 237 Triangle Road, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at her residence. Born in Orangeburg, S.C. she was the widow of the late James Milton Jennings and the daughter of the late Gary Jones and Donie Crosby Jones. She was a former volunteer for Peach Center Ministries, loved to sew and enjoyed gardening. She loved life in all forms, her church, her children, her family and in her later years her companion dog, Missy Prissy. She retired from Straightline and was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, Mike Jennings Sr. and wife, Marianne Virglio of Gaffney and Mark Jennings and wife, Nicki Brockington of Cherokee Falls; three daughters, Cindy Patterson and husband, Randy, Deborah Teasley and husband, Chris and Terry Johnson and husband, Ray, all of Gaffney; three brothers, Reverend Gary Jones, Johnny Jones and Homer Jones; a sister Loraine Ayers; fifty-two grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lloyd Jones, James Jones, Reverend Raymond Jones, Coy Jones and Guynell Jones; three sisters, Mary Lou Weeks, Gladys Jones and Ernestine Brant. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Meals on Wheels and Hospice Care of S.C. for their love and care. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at El Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral Services will immediately follow 2 p.m. at the church with Dr. Larry Melton officiating. Interment will be in El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C., 29342 or Hospice Care of S.C., 1612 N. Limestone, Gaffney, SC, 29340 or El Bethel Baptist Church, “ Faith Mission Fund”, 116 Billy Goat Bridge Road, Gaffney, S.C., 29340.
