Mrs. Bennett was born in Old Town, Florida to Barry and Addie Cannon. She was a nurse, working at Alachua General Hospital before working for Dr. T. L. Thomas in Cross City for many, many years. She loved gardening, working with flowers and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Priscilla Baptist Church in Bell, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, marvin Jenkins, and granddaughter, Macy Jenkins. A visitation was held at the funeral home Monday evening, May 6, 2013, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Sink Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev.
