Description	:	The Recorder April 27, 2001 Moffett "Doc" Brown Turner, 94, of Blue Grass, died Monday, April 23, 2001 at Augusta Medical Center. He was born Sept. 5, 1906 at Mustoe, a son of Joseph and Rosa Robertson Turner. Mr. Turner was a member of the Green Hill United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and logger and retired from Virginia Hot Springs Co. in Hot Springs. His wife of 54 years, Lottie Mae Doyle Turner, preceded him in death on May 4, 1981. He was born Sept. 5, 1906 at Mustoe, a son of Joseph and Rosa Robertson Turner. Mr. Turner was a member of the Green Hill United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and logger and retired from Virginia Hot Springs Co. in Hot Springs. His wife of 54 years, Lottie Mae Doyle Turner, preceded him in death on May 4, 1981. He was also preceded in death by a son, Moffett "Jim" B. Turner Jr. on Dec. 20, 1998; a brother, Boyd Turner; and two sisters, Ollie White and Lucy Campbell. He was the last member of his immediate family. He is survived by two daughters, Freda Bird of Blue Grass and Charlotte M. Griffin of Dunmore, W.Va.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27 in Green Hill Cemetery by the Rev. Robert L. Haley.
