Cessna, 903 Harding Avenue, died last night at 7:30 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Basnight, Manteo, N.C., whom she had visiting. She was a native of this city and a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Lear) Sommerlatt. Her husband, who served as superintendent of Allegany County roads, died about three years ago. Mrs. Cessna was a member of the Eastern Star and of First Methodist Church here. Also surviving are four sons, Adolph R., Paul L., and Lawrence C. Cessna, all of this city, and Carl L. Cessna, Narrows, Va., and another daughter, Mrs. C. C. Skipper, Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Downey, Punxsutawney, Pa., and Mrs. Edith Bridges, this city, and a brother, Louis Sommerlatt, this city. The body will arrive here Friday morning and will be taken to the home where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. George E. Baughman, Methodist minister, will officiate and burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
