Monica Emineth was born Aug. 29, 1907 at Rosebud, in Oliver County, the daughter of Frank Stanley and Emilia (Snider) Emineth. She moved with her family to Center, where she was raised and educated. On June 18, 1928, Monica married Magnus Ternes at New Salem. They moved to the Raleigh area where they were engaged in farming, then moved to Grand Forks. Monica worked for St. Michael's Catholic Church. They then moved to Larimore on July 27, 1986, and Monica then moved to Mandan in 1998. She worked as a cook at the State Capitol, and worked as a cook and housekeeper for many years. Monica was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mandan. She loved baking, and working on cross-stitch and embroidery projects. Monica is survived by five sisters and one brother-in-law, Sr. Emelia Emineth, Merril, Wis., Rose Heinz and Veronica Heinz, both of Bismarck, Clem Hoff, Portland, Ore., Barbara Hohbein, Berwin, Ill., and Frank Pfleiger, Beulah; one brother and two sisters-in-law, Mike and Delores Emineth, Portland, Ore., and Agnes Emineth, Hazen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Magnus; three sisters, Catherine Emineth, Margaret Emineth, and Francis Pfleiger; and two brothers, Tony and Martin Emineth.
