He was born Sept 7 ,1884 ,on the old Mullinnix Homestead four miles north of Sigourney, the son of George Preston and Alice Lamb Mullinnix. He lived there until moving to What Cheer at the age of 19 where he and his father went into the livery business. Read More	OBITUARY - His obituary was published in the Sigourney Review on January 25, 1967. - Montie ELmer Mullinnix, age 82, died at the Keokuk County Hospital Sunday Evening, January 22. He was born Sept 7 ,1884 ,on the old Mullinnix Homestead four miles north of Sigourney, the son of George Preston and Alice Lamb Mullinnix. He lived there until moving to What Cheer at the age of 19 where he and his father went into the livery business. They sold their business there and moved to Sigourney, where they purchased the South Livery Barn, which becames known as the G.P. Mullinnix and Son Livery. He later farmed for a period of time, worked as a painter, was custodian of the city park for four years and served on the City Council until his health failed. He is survived by two sons, George of Sigourney and Harold of Long Beach, California; four grandchildren ; six great grandchildren and Adah Mullinix Dupuis of Gaines , Michigan, who was reared by his parents. He was preceded in death by two sons and a son, Harry, who died in 1933 at the age of 20 years. He was a member if the Christian Church of What Cheer. Services will be held Wednesday, Jan 25. BUrial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
