Hanson, son of William and Martha Hanson, was born September 13, 1885 at Milligan, Nebraska and passed away Saturday, November 27, 1965, at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 14 days. While still a young boy, Montie moved with his parents from Milligan to a farm home south of Exeter, where he resided the rest of his life. Hanson, son of William and Martha Hanson, was born September 13, 1885 at Milligan, Nebraska and passed away Saturday, November 27, 1965, at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 14 days. While still a young boy, Montie moved with his parents from Milligan to a farm home south of Exeter, where he resided the rest of his life. Montie spent his entire life, until the last few months, when illness came upon him, actively engaged in farming. He prided himself most throughout his life on his good horses. Montie always had a hearty laugh and a good word for all his friends, and he will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mrs. Ollie Kotrous; a brother Frank and his life long companion and most beloved brother, Ora. He leaves to mourn his passing, 3 sisters, Mrs. Mary Walters and Mrs. Lillian Songster of Exeter and Mrs. Gertrude Wullbrandt of Tucson, Arizona; 2 brothers, William and Giles of Exeter; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 30, at 2:30 p.m., from the Farmer Funeral Home in Exeter, with the Rev. Sherman Ragsdell of Pender, Nebraska officiating. Burial was in the Exeter Cemetery. The Fillmore County News (Exeter) December 2nd, 1965 page 2.
