Born in Rutherfordton, N.C., he was the husband of Beulah Spurlin Linder and the son of the late Morgan Lee Linder Sr. and Carrie Parris Linder. He was a graduate of Cowpens High School and was retired from Duke Power. He loved to sing and was formerly in the Hamptons Quartet and Master Singers Quartet. Born in Rutherfordton, N.C., he was the husband of Beulah Spurlin Linder and the son of the late Morgan Lee Linder Sr. and Carrie Parris Linder. Surviving are two daughters, Teresa Linder of Gaffney and Sheila Cash and husband, Tony of Spartanburg; three sisters, Elsie Guthrie of Gaffney, Nettie Blackwell of Marietta, S.C. and Carrie Hamrick and husband, Billy of Spartanburg; three grandchildren, Josh Linder, Hiliary Cash Weill and husband, Eddie and Hannah Cash; and a great-grandchild, Jade Linder. Mr. Linder was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Lee Linder; five brothers; and six sisters. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Blakely Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rick Taylor officiating.
