Description	:	Morris Wilgus of Elkton, Oregon died Jan. 16 of cancer-related causes. He was 85. Mr. Wilgus was born June 2, 1919, in Kremlin, Mont., to Glen and Grace Wilgus. He married Freda Ervin on Oct. 10, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif. He served in the Navy from 1941 to 1946 as a gunner's mate on the USS Tennessee and the USS South Dakota in the Pacific theater. He was active in the Navigator Discipleship Ministry. Mr. Wilgus was the founding pastor of Elkton Baptist Church, serving the church from 1965 until his retirement in 1988. He remained active in the church after retiring. He led Sunday afternoon worship services at Garden Valley Retirement Center in Roseburg for 10 years. He co-founded the Douglas Bible Fellowship at Douglas Aircraft in California. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rod of Elkton, John of Lebanon and Ed of Sutherlin; a daughter, Barbara Bailey of Ukiah, Calif.; a sister, Thelma Cannon of Sun City, Ariz.; his twin brother, Marshall of Buckeye, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Burial in Elkton Cemetery.
