Stafford Dead Was at Hospital in Kansas City but Not Thought Dangerous - Services Tomorrow Afternoon. Morton S. Stafford, brother of Grant Stafford of this city and son of Mrs. J.S. Stafford, died last night at the St. Joseph hospital in Kansas City. He had been ailing for some time but his condition was not considered serious. His death was a shock to his family. The deceased was an attorney and had lived in St. Louis and Kansas City after leaving Winfield. He is one of three sons of Mrs. J.S. Stafford of this city. Grant Stafford of this city. Grant Stafford went to Kansas City last evening to accompany the body, to this city. He is expected to arrive here this evening. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Stafford, 1120 Manning, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. Stafford and brother of Grant Stafford will be held at the home of his mother, 1120 South Manning street at 2:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The service will be in charge of the Rev. Stafford The funeral service of Morton S. Stafford was held Sunday afternoon at two-thirty at the home of Mrs. J.M. Stafford. The service was in charge of Rev. Albert Nichols of the Christian church and of Arch Deacon Hobbs. A quartette, Mrs. Ruth McNabb, Hazel Sadil, and Messrs. Wm. Miller and Harold Lynch sang. At the grave in Union cemetery, the service was in charge of the I.O.O.F. of which order Mr. Stafford was a member. (transcribed by Judy Mayfield)
