Description	:	Moses E. Yoder, son of Enos M. and Mattie (Bontrager) Yoder was born February 25, 1916 in Haven, Kansas. He passed away at his home in Leon, Iowa on Sunday, August 21, 2011. He was 95 years, 5 months and 27 days. In his youth he was baptized upon his confession of faith. Moses was united in marriage to Cora M. Gingerich, March 11, 1937, making their union together, 74 years. They had a total of 8 children; Enos, Jacob, Pauline, Maynard, Jerry, Moses Jr., Norman and Jonas. He passed away at his home in Leon, Iowa on Sunday, August 21, 2011. He was 95 years, 5 months and 27 days. In his youth he was baptized upon his confession of faith. Moses was united in marriage to Cora M. Gingerich, March 11, 1937, making their union together, 74 years. They had a total of 8 children; Enos, Jacob, Pauline, Maynard, Jerry, Moses Jr., Norman and Jonas. On November, 1946, he was ordained to the ministry at Sharon Bethel Church of Kalona, Iowa. He served there until 1959, when they as a family moved to Leon, Iowa. He was a faithful member and minister of the Leon Salem Mennonite Church. Moses is preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Manna Mae Beachy Yoder; one brother, Jonas Yoder; four sisters, Lydia Miller, Katie Schlabach, Fannie Helmuth and Susie Gingerich; one son, Jerry (who died in infancy); two great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Surviving him are his wife Cora of the home in Leon, Iowa; his children, Enos (Esther Helmuth) of Leon, Iowa; Jacob (Esther Gingerich) of Kalona, Iowa; Pauline (Perry Bontrager) of Kalona, Iowa; Maynard of Leon, Iowa; Moses, Jr. (Ruth Hurst) of La Monte, Missouri; Norman of Thompsonville, Illinois; Jonas (Linda Gingerich) of Leon, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Also surviving Moses is one sister, Wilma Hershberger of Sheridan, Oregon. Moses loved the lord and his life touched many people. His exceptional memory helped him to share his many experiences of life with insight and interest. Everyone will miss his friendly smile and compassionate interest in others. His legacy of faith has enriched his children and grandchildren; and reached out to bless many others as well. Moses' desire was that above all things, Christ may be glorified. The family wishes to thank everyone for their expressions of sympathy, many acts of kindness and prayers offered during the time of his illness and death. Kale Funeral Home
