Description	:	Mrs. Alma Edwards Parson, 87 of 1010 Lakeview Drive, Clinton, died Tuesday at Mary Gran Nursing Center, Clinton, NC. Mrs. Parson, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Aaron and Goldie Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Emma Hinson and two brothers, Luby Edwards and Kermit Edwards. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. Read More	Mrs. Alma Edwards Parson, 87 of 1010 Lakeview Drive, Clinton, died Tuesday at Mary Gran Nursing Center, Clinton, NC. Mrs. Parson, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Aaron and Goldie Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Emma Hinson and two brothers, Luby Edwards and Kermit Edwards. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. She was retired from Belk after 18 years, she was very active in churches served by her husband, working with youth ministry, WMU organizations and teaching Sunday School. She was always a very positive person. She had a sevants heart for helping people and was always smiling. She was beloved by her family. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, James H. Parson, two sons Tony and wife Frances of Spivey's Corner and Ronnie and wife Betty of Willington, and a brother, Aaron C. Edwarsd of Virginia. Five grandchildren, Rob and wife Karen, Bryan and wife Elizabeth, Matt and wife Michelle, Jacob and Hannah, two great grandchildren, Franci and Nicholas, two step great grandchildren, Hunter and Autumn. The family recieved friends Thursday evening, May 5, 2011 from 6-8pm at the Royal Hall Funeral Home in Clinton and other times at her home. The funeral services were held at 11am, Friday, May 6, 2011 at Grove Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Shook officiating. Burial was made in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Clinton, NC.
