She was born in Greenville county, a daughter of the late Silas Jackson and Nannie Elizabeth Lindley Sims and was a home maker and Mother. Mrs. Sims was the oldest member of Daventon Baptist Church and a member of the Berdie Jordan Sunday School Class. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Sims was the oldest member of Daventon Baptist Church and a member of the Berdie Jordan Sunday School Class. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Katherine) Tumblin of Fountain Inn, Mrs. Joe (Elizabeth) Canales of Ware Shoals and Mrs. Joe W. (Nancy) Wright of Taylors; five sons, Joseph W. Sims of Gray Court, Horace Freeman Sims of Gloucester, Va., Marshall Sims, James W. (J. W.) Sims and Pelham Sims all of Fountain Inn; also thirty-one grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Daventon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Rick Baldwin, Rev. O. L. McGinnis and Rev. J. P. Lockaby with burial in the Church Cemetery. Honorary escort will be the Men's Sunday School Class and the Berdie Jordan Ladies Sunday School Class of Daventon Baptist Church. The family is at the residence and will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Saturday at Cannon Funeral Home.
