She was a loving mother & will be greatly missed by her children. Faye was born in Ponce de Leon, Florida, on August 15, 1932, to loving parents, Fate Radford, father & Lurie Mae Radford, mother, both deceased before her. Read More	EVELYN FAYE WARD, 78 Pharmacist LAKELAND - Evelyn Faye Ward, 78, passed away to be with her Lord on 10/29/10 of respiratory failure. She was a loving mother & will be greatly missed by her children. Faye was born in Ponce de Leon, Florida, on August 15, 1932, to loving parents, Fate Radford, father & Lurie Mae Radford, mother, both deceased before her. She has one loving sister, Foye Gillis, and one loving brother, Roy Radford. She has four children, Faye Lynne Ward, Leslie Gayle Brock, James L. Ward, Jr., and Amy Marie Wright, and she loved them with all her heart. Faye has 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons, and she treasured every minute with them. She also had many nieces and special nephews. Faye moved many times with her family during World War II years and was at Oak Ridge, TN where her parents worked on the Manhattan Project and was there when WWII ended in 1945. At the age of fifteen, she was accepted by the University of Florida and received her Pharmacy degree there. She received her 50 year lifetime certificate last year. Faye also held a Consultant Pharmacy License, a Fla. Real Estate Broker License and an Interior Decorator License. Gov. Bob Martinez appointed her to 4 years on the Board of Real Estate Education and Research Foundation. She was owner of Southern Trend Realty and Southern Trend Interiors. Faye was co-owner and originator of Ward's Heating and Air Condition, Highview and Mahalo Apartment complexes, all sold later to new owners. Faye considered her greatest achievement in life was being mother to Lynne, Gayle, Jim Jr. & Amy and her grandchildren, Jamie, Justin, Jessica, Jennifer, Jared and Matthew, great grandchildren, Alex, Evan and Miles, were cherished. Faye loved the Lord with all her heart and hopes to be rejoined with her family in heaven. Faye was a past member of the Church of Christ, Lakeland, Florida, and was a current resident of Lone Palm Golf Community. She had many friends and valued them all. Visitation: 12noon - 2:00pm, Wednesday, November 3, 2007, at Forest Meadows Funeral Home, Gainesville, Florida. Published in Ledger from October 31 to November 2, 2010 - - - - - - - - - - One fond memory that Faye often spoke of was her baptism in Alaqua Creek where it crosses Nelson Rd southwest of Pleasant Ridge Bapt Ch. The church is about five miles west of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and the creek is a mile or two southwest of the church. Faye's sister Foye was baptized at the same time, and they often spoke of that wonderful event in glowing terms, as it was such a happy memory from their teen years for both of them. MMS
