Description	:	Jalene Joy (Droescher) Larsen was born Feb. 24, 1941, the daughter of Galen and Myrtle Eissler Kauffroath. She was baptized August of 1941 by her grandfather, the Rev. Roland Kauffroath. She lost her parents at age two and was adopted by wonderful parents, Fred and Gertrude Eissler Luebe. She was confirmed in May of 1954 in United Church of Christ in Pierce and later, in 1963, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hadar. Read More	Jalene Joy (Droescher) Larsen was born Feb. 24, 1941, the daughter of Galen and Myrtle Eissler Kauffroath. She was baptized August of 1941 by her grandfather, the Rev. Roland Kauffroath. She lost her parents at age two and was adopted by wonderful parents, Fred and Gertrude Eissler Luebe. She was confirmed in May of 1954 in United Church of Christ in Pierce and later, in 1963, in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hadar. She later joined Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce, where she presently was a member. She attended Pierce County rural School District 44 through the eighth grade and graduated from Pierce High School in 1958. She attended two years of college at Wayne State College and then taught rural schools in Pierce County for five years. She married Dallas Droescher on Dec. 15, 1962, at United Church of Christ in Pierce. To this union, three sons were born, Robbie, Rusty and Jody. They farmed in the Pierce area until Dallas’s death in July of 1986. She also lost two sons, Jody in 1992 and Robbie in 2001, as results of car accidents. Jalene moved to Pierce in 1988. Jalene worked as a part time bookeeper at Cominco Fertilizer, 13 years in the Alzheimer’s unit in the Pierce Manor and a few years for the Short Stop in Pierce. She married a wonderful man, Dick Larsen, on April 20, 2006, at Zion Luthern Church in Pierce. Dick died on Nov. 20, 2011. She was a past member of the Pierce Jaycees, served as Sunday school superintendant at Zion and also United Church of Christ, was a member of the Norfolk Support Group for the widowers, divorced and separated, Christ Lutheran Support Group and the Compassionate Friends. She was presently a member of the ladies aid, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Logan Pride Club. Her family and friends were important to her; Jalene loved spending time with them. She loved to sing, dance, play cards and travel. Jalene loved life and took life one day at a time. She is survived by son Rusty (Cheri) Droescher of Oakland; two granddaughters, Caroline Droescher (C.W.) Hobbs and Courtney Droescher; four grandsons, Jerome Droescher, James (Emily) Droescher, Jesse Droescher and Ron Petzel; one great-granddaughter, Madison; three great-grandsons, Heath, Dauminique and Alex; one stepson, Tom (Barb) Larsen; three stepdaughters, Jeri (Jerome) Fuchtman, Joy Gates and Jyl Hochstein; stepgrandchildren and step great-grandchildren; special friend Ron Synovec; and three sisters-in-law and spouses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Galen and Myrtle; two sons, Robbie and Jody; both spouses, Dallas and Dick; and two brothers, Harland and Gene. Organist will be Dottie Ahlers with Rick Higgins singing “One Day At A Time” and “How Great Thou Art.” Congregational hymns will be “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” and “I’m But A Stranger Here.” Casketbearers will be Jerome Droescher, James Droescher, Jesse Droescher, Caroline Hobbs, Courtney Droescher and Ron Petzel. Honorary casketbearers will be Emily, Madison, Heath, Dauminique and Alex.
