She left teaching in 1955 and became a skilled technical librarian at the US Naval Weapons Station, where she retired in 1975. YATES YATES - Mrs.Jeanette Jackson Beazley Yates, 89, a Virginian, former teacher, librarian, assistant principal and principal in Charles City, Virginia died Wednesday, September 29, 1993. Mrs. Yates was a founding member of the Virginia Education Association and representative to the National Education Association. Vernon Ave. in Williamsburg, Va. Both she and her brother were born in Essex Co., Va. Her parents resided there before her birth, and after their untimely death, both Jeanette and her brother, John, were shown living with their grandparents in King and Queen Co. (where both parents and a younger sibling are buried). Her marriage certificate also records Essex as her place of birth.
