Margaret Wolf was one of the original founders. She is listed as member #8 in the listing of members who joined in 1840. The Church Minutes show that "Margaret Wolf departed this life July 16, 1860". No reference to the burial; Burial is presumed to be in the Shiloh Church Cemetery. Her daughter, Jane Fitzgerald is only mentioned as joining the church in 1846, member #100. This book did not extend to the 1880's. She may or may not be mentioned in the latter minutes of the church. Margaret Wolf was married to William Wolf as shown in the 1850 Census below: Name: Marget Wolf Age: 60 Birth Year: abt 1790 Birthplace: Pennsylvania Home in 1850: Clear Creek, Washington, Arkansas, USA Gender: Female Family Number: 55 Household Members: Name Age William Wolf 65 Marget Wolf 60 Amanda Wolf 18 Cynthia Wolf 16 Susan Wolf 13 Margaret and William Wolf had many children who were born in Missouri. Their children were raised in Arkansas, who then produced many more families reared in Benton and Washington County, Arkansas area, and Springdale, Arkansas. Mrs. Margaret Wolf is thought to have been buried next to her husband, William Wolf, in the old original Shiloh Cemetery. Those graves were moved to the new site of Bluff Cemetery. William Wolf's tombstone is found there, but Margaret's isn't found at Bluff Cemetery. Apparently Margaret Wolf's tombstone was damaged or lost from the move to Bluff Cemetery. Margaret Wolf, wife of William Wolf, is confirmed to have been an early settler in Springdale, Arkansas and to have been a Christian leader for Baptist Church as shown in early Church records. Research NOTE: (Confusion over Margaret Wolf's maiden name is: There is a Margaret Schuster who died in Washington County, Pennsylvania, but she is "Not" this Memorial's Margaret Wolf and proven Not to be her by Pennsylvania records. People have been copying incorrectly from genealogy sites and pedigree trees giving this Margaret Wolf the name of Margaret Schuster for this person which has proven impossible. Reason this Margaret Wolf is not the Margaret Schuster of Pennsylvania is: There are Washington County, Pennsylvania documented history and records which show another Margaret Schuster who had many children with another William Wolf in Pennsylvania and that married couple never ever left Pennsylvania. All of those, Wolf family members not of this family, are buried in Washington Cemetery in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania families of the other, William and Margaret Wolf have different birth and death dates than our William and Margaret Wolf who lived and died in Benton, Arkansas and their children have different birth and death dates and marriages. Clearly a different family, with similar names.)
