Description	:	Muriel Sue Goble Naughton, 76, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House after a prolonged illness. Born August 24, 1945 at Rowan Memorial Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Vivian Talbert Goble and James Goble. She was a graduate of North Rowan High School. Kiser Hospice House after a prolonged illness. Born August 24, 1945 at Rowan Memorial Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Vivian Talbert Goble and James Goble. She was a graduate of North Rowan High School. She proudly served in the U.S. Navy and later retired as a civil servant with the Department of Army. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Naughton, Sr. and brothers, Tony and Jim Goble. She is survived by her son, James F. Naughton, Jr. (Anne) of Durham and a brother, Jerry Gobble (Carol) of Crumpler. She was a loving and caring mother, sister, and aunt. An avid gardener and animal enthusiast, she most enjoyed the time she got to spend with her neighbors, whom she grew to consider her family. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144.
