Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at St. Peter's Church, Hannover, with the Rev. Greg Zillinger officiating. Burial will be in the Hannover Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Murray Allen Hintz was born Sept. 12, 1958, in Bismarck, the son of Harlan and Lilly (Duensing) Hintz. Raised in the area, he graduated from Center High School in 1976, and from NDSU with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1980. He and Melissa Braithwaite were united in marriage on March 5, 1982. Following his graduation Murray worked for Shlumberger Well Service as an engineer in Texas and Louisiana until 1991, when his father died. He then returned to Hannover to assist in the operation of the family farm. A man of the outdoors, Murray loved the life that farming and caring for the land provided him. He is survived by his wife Melissa; his son, Bobby Otwell, his wife, Robyn and their son, Bo, Valley City; his mother, Lilly Henke and her husband, Raymond, Hannover; his sisters, Pamela Hintz, Anchorage, Alaska, and her daughter, Tristina and Carla Hintz, Phoenix; his brothers, Kelly Hintz, his wife, Judy and their children, Corey, Craig and Carissa, Hannover, and Jeffrey Hintz, Chicago, and his son, Garrett Anderson; his brother-in-law, Patrick Braithwaite, Hannover. His father, Harlan; his grandparents, Herman and Ella Hintz and Alfred and Erna Duensing; and his mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Marjorie Braithwaite, preceded him in death. Memorials are preferred to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Hannover. (Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan)
