Michael Davis will officiate with burial in the Laurel Hill Cemetery at Neligh. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday at Beyer Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Neligh. She died Friday, July 31, 2015, at Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh. ——— Myla Jean Baker was born on Dec. 26, 1931, in Oakdale, to Albert and Edith (Bliss) Michaelson. She attended school in Oakdale and graduated with the class of 1949 from Oakdale High School. On June 11, 1950, she was united in marriage to Merle Baker in Neligh. They lived on the farm north of Neligh. In 1958, they moved to a farm near Oakdale. When Merle retired in 1991, they moved to Neligh. She was on the election board in Oakdale and Neligh for many years. Myla enjoyed bowling, crocheting, needle point and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Golden Grannies Extension Club, Oakdale United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She is survived by her sons, Tracey and wife Maureen Baker of Norfolk and Todd Baker of Neligh; a daughter, Terri and husband Larry Funk of Neligh; four grandchildren, Jason and LeAnn Baker of Norfolk, Benjamin Baker of Norfolk, Bryan and Tara Baker of Kearney and Michael Sorensen of Lincoln; three step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Lelia and husband, Wayne Inness of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband (1997); a son, Michael Joe; and a daughter and a son in infancy; as well as three brothers.
