Description	:	"ANACONDA -- Mrs. Myra E. Franklin, 77, of Columbus, mother of Mrs. Donald H. (Carley) Nyquist of Anaconda, died Monday at her home in Columbus following an illness. Mrs. Nyquist had been with her mother for the last week. Mr. Nyquist, court reporter for the Third Judicial District of Powell, Granite and Deer Lodge Counties, left Tuesday for Columbus to attend the funeral. Mrs. Franklin was the widow of Ira Franklin, early-day cattle rancher in southeastern Montana. He died in 1940. Mrs. Franklin was born Myra Elizabeth Emeigh, at Friend, Neb., March 26, 1885. She was reared and received her education at Friend. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin met at Omaha, Neb., while he was on a cattle drive from Montana. Mr. Franklin came to the state in 1888 and was a cattle rancher on the Little Powder River in southeastern Montana. Mr. and Mrs. Franklin were the parents of 11 children, of whom Mrs. Nordquist is the youngest. One son preceded Mrs. Franklin in death. Mrs. Franklin was active for many years in church work and in the Masonic organizations in the Columbus district.
