Read More	Gaffney Ledger obituary November 17, 2017 Myra Evelyn Parker Bright, 87, formerly of Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Azalea Woods Nursing Facility in Aiken, S.C. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Winfred Nephi Bright and daughter of the late James Pittman Parker and Lucy Phillips Parker. Surviving are two sons, Rev. Roger Bright and wife, Rita, of Hendersonville, N.C. and Glenn Bright of Florence, S.C.; a daughter, Myra Painter and husband, Ralph, of Aiken; three brothers, Jack Parker and wife, Jean, John Parker and wife, Diane, and Eddie Parker and wife, Brenda, all of Gaffney; a sister, Gail Phillips of Charlotte, N.C. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Freida Parker and two grandsons, Rusty Painter and Darren Painter. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Draytonville Baptist Church with Rev. Roger P. Bright and Dr. Keith Harrill officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Gideons International, P.O. Box 1712, Gaffney, S.C. 29342. The family will be at their respective homes.
