WILSON The many friends throughout the county were greatly grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. Chester A. Wilson, which occurred at her home on east Armory avenue on Sunday afternoon, December 5, 1909, at three o'clock, after an illness of only a few days. Her death was due to a peculiar accident. On the Sunday previous, while romping with her little boy, he accidently struck her near the stomach with his head. Nothing serious was thought of the matter at the time, but a few days later inflammation set in, with a complication of troubles, which resulted in her death. Largely attended funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon at eleven o'clock at the Central Christian church in English township, conducted by Rev. Jos. MacKensie, after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Brownlee cemetery. Myra McDowell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob McDowell, was born in English township, Lucas county, Iowa, on June 23, 1884. On May 15, 1903, she was united in marriage to Mr. Chester A. Wilson. To them were born two sons, Edmond and Malen, both of whom, with the husband and father, are living. Mrs. Wilson is also survived by her mother, four brothers, James and Frank, of English township, Charles, of Dallas, and Will, of near Seattle Washington, and five sisters, Mrs. Savilla Caldwell, of Columbia, Mrs. Lee Maxwell, of St. Joe, Mesdames Cora and Emma Brightwell, of Chariton, and Mrs. Marion James, of English township. Deceased was a young woman possessing a sweet and lovable disposition, and her many charming attributes won for her friends of all with whom she came in contact. Her sudden demise is deplored by all, and the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community will be extended to the grieving relatives. Obituary courtesy of Charles M. Wright
