Description	:	Decatur County Journal November 30, 1916 Myriah Elizabeth Goble Fitch was born in Wisconsin on March 15, 1862 and departed this life November 19, 1916, being at the time of her death 55 years, 8 months, and 4 days old. She left home in her usual good health to visit a few days with her son, Walter, where she was stricken with a stroke of paralysis and lingered only three days. Read More	Decatur County Journal November 30, 1916 Myriah Elizabeth Goble Fitch was born in Wisconsin on March 15, 1862 and departed this life November 19, 1916, being at the time of her death 55 years, 8 months, and 4 days old. She left home in her usual good health to visit a few days with her son, Walter, where she was stricken with a stroke of paralysis and lingered only three days. She was the daughter of John and Barbara Goble and in 1864 she came with her parents to Decatur County, Iowa. She was married to John Fremont Fitch, October 11, 1877. To this union were born ten children. Clarence Harve Fitch, James Walter Fitch, Simeon Isiah Fitch, Harley Gary Fitch, Doss K. Fitch, Nellie Fitch Davis, Lois Ellen Fitch Davis, Christina Fitch Baker, Charles Henry Fitch and George Earnest Fitch Three Children, Christina Fitch Baker, Charles and George preceded their Mother to the Great Beyond leaving the father and seven children to mourn their loss of wife and mother. The husband and seven children were present at her bedside at the time of her death. She also leaves an aged mother, one-half brother, John Sly, of Lamoni, Iowa and one half-sister, Lena Roberts, of Elgin Illinois and a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the Bethel Baptist Church in 1889 of which she has been a member ever since. Funeral services were conducted at Bethel Church By Rev. Dale after which she was laid to rest in the Bethel Cemetery. Note: Children: Christina Fitch Baker, George Fitch, and Charles Fitch are buried at Bethel Cemetery.
