A funeral Mass for Myrna will be held 9:30am, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Epiphany Parish, Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams, Mason City with the Reverend Rodney Allers and Monsignor Joseph Slepicka as celebrants. Burial will follow in the Clear Lake Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm, Friday, March 15, 2013 at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapels, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City with a Catholic Daughters of America Rosary beginning at 7pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Saturday. Should friends desire, memorials may be left to St. Anne's Extended Healthcare, 1347 West Broadway, Winona, MN 55987. Myrna Lucille Stork, daughter of Edd and Florence (Delaney) Walter was born March 25, 1917 in Mason City, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Mason City High School in 1935. Shortly thereafter, she was united in marriage to Frank Stork and to this union, four children were born, Ed, Jack, Allan, and Mary. Myrna was a homemaker all of her life, not only raising her four children but also caring for over 50 foster children while living in several rural communities in Iowa before moving back to Mason City in the early 1970s. For the last 13 years, Myrna has made her home in Winona, Minnesota. Myrna had a passion for crocheting, creating afghans for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to play all sorts of card games and enjoyed attending numerous social events throughout her life. Family was very important to her, spending a lot of time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Myrna was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, past member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and was actively involved in the St. Veronica's Holy Family Church Circle. She will be missed by her two children, Allan (Sue) Stork, Decatur, IL and Mary (Denny) Maloney, Winona, MN; daughter-in-law, Colleen Stork, Atchison, KS, 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; sons, Ed and Jack; granddaughter, Diane; grandson, Sean; great-granddaughter, Francis; two sisters and one brother.
