Description	:	Myron Leslie Nichols and Hazel Jacobs married Sept. 7, 1912. : M. Leslie Nichols, 86, of Mansfield Center, Windham Electric Co. owner, died Sunday in Windham Community Memorial Hospital, Willimantic. He was born in Mansfield. Mr. Nichols owned and operated the Windham Electric Co. Church Street, Willimantic. He previously worked for the Max Poulock Manufacturing Co. in Conantville and Groton for 13 years. He retired in 1925, when he was working as a superintendent. A well known musician, he had played the flute. He had performed with the Wheeler's Band, and the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra. Leslie Nichols, 86, of Mansfield Center, Windham Electric Co. owner, died Sunday in Windham Community Memorial Hospital, Willimantic. He was born in Mansfield. Mr. Nichols owned and operated the Windham Electric Co. Church Street, Willimantic. He previously worked for the Max Poulock Manufacturing Co. in Conantville and Groton for 13 years. He was a member and former president of the Mansfield Burial Corporation and Mansfield Historical Society. He was a member of the First Church of Christ, Mansfield Center. Mr. Nichols was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star Lodge 44, AF&AM. He was a past high priest of Trinity Chapter 9 RAM, Willimantic. He also was a member of Sphinx Temple of Hartford and the Connecticut Consistory, 32nd Degree, Norwich. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hazel Jacobs Nichols , a son, Donald G. Nichols; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon James and Mrs. Russell Slate, all of Mansfield; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral is Wednesday at 1 PM. in the First Church of Christ. The Rev. W. Raymond Ward, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mansfield Center Cemetery. Published in the Hartford Courant 9/12/1972
