Myron died at the Ivenson Memorial Hospital in Laramie, Wyoming on July 26, 2007. Myron Marlow Lenling was born on September 14, 1946 in Aberdeen, SD to Elden & Elizabeth (Wandri) Lenling. Myron was baptized and confirmed in the St. John's Lutheran Church in Columbia. Myron married Lorene Siedschlag on September 2, 1967 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Columbia, SD. Together they had seven children. Myron loved spending time with his grandkids and his many pets. He also enjoyed fishing, but most of all his true passion was his construction business. "He was born with a hammer in his hand and he died with a hammer in his hand." Myron was known for saying, "It's a waste of a day if you don't accomplish something," and "Best part of the day is always the morning, and the earlier the better." He always planned on taking his wife fishing when he retired, he just didn't know how to stop working. Myron worked hard, played hard, and loved even harder. They broke the mold after him. Myron always told Arnie and I (Wayne) that everybody that died in his life always did on the coldest day of winter when the wind and snow would both be blowing. Then he would say that he himself would die on a nice day and have no suffering. Myron went the way he wanted to and the morning we got him home to Lorene, was the nicest and most beautiful morning! He was finally at peace. God bless you Myron. Grateful for having shared Myron's life are his wife, Lorene, Aberdeen; his mother, Elizabeth, Aberdeen; four sons, Arnie Lenling, Mina, SD; Jason (Cory) Lenling, Nashville, TN, Wayne Lenling, Mina, SD, Michael Lenling, Aberdeen; three daughters, Laurie (Scott) Black, Aberdeen, Kathie (Joey) Velasquez, Colorado Springs, CO, Samantha Lenling, Aberdeen; one brother, Gary (Marian) Lenling, Claremont, SD; two sisters, Ardel Sayler, Aberdeen, Deb (Ron) Dell, Aberdeen; one sister-in-law, Barb Lenling, Redfield, SD; and six grandchildren, Terron Lenling, Ashton Lenling, Jayce Lenling, Trevor Black, Savannah Black, and Brandon Velasquez. He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon, his brother, Larry Lenling; his son-in-law Terry Iverson, and his dog, McCloud.
