Husband of Irene Ware. Veteran of World War II. Obituary: Myron "Tom" Weston age 89, of Carver, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Plymouth. Born in Carver, Tom was the son of the late Frank and Florence (Vaughan) Weston. He was a World War II, US Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 164 in Carver. Tom was one of four brothers owing Weston Bros., Inc., a construction and cranberry company located on France Street in Carver. He was an avid vegetable garden grower and worked part time for his sons company, Weston Bros. Cranberries in Carver. Tom was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Ware) Weston, devoted brother of the late Homer F. Weston, Roger V. Weston, and Winston A. Weston. Graveside services were held at the Central Cemetery, Rte. 58, Carver. Published in Carver Reporter from Aug. 2 - Aug. 9, 2012 Note: Names of Myron's children have been excluded from this obit. The National Cranberry Magazine May 1963: FOUR WESTON BOYS OF CARVER, MASS. ALL IN CRANBERRY GROWING, BOG CONSTRUCTION. It is rather unusual to have four brothers all take to the cranberry business as a way of life. And, so it happens these four Mass. men are third generation growers, and they came into cranberry bogs on both of their parents. They are the Weston brothers of Carver. They not only operate considerable acreage of bog, but are in the heavy construction business, with probably the main portion of this being in cranberry bog building, rebuilding and making improvements. They are: Homer F., born in 1911 Roger V., born in 1913 Winston A., born in 1915 and Myron T., born in 1923. They were all born in an ancient structure on France Street at a place historically known as Pope's Point, where once was located a bog iron foundry. Although they have spent their life in Carver, the Weston boys were technically born in Middleboro, as this extreme edge of Carver was then a part of Middleboro. But, the town boundary lines were straightened and the area was made a part of Carver. They are the sons of the late Frank F. Weston, a well known grower.
