I have transcribed the obituary as written. --------------- Obituary From "Ottumwa Courier," Monday, December 15, 1969, Page 12: Mrs. Roy Hulse Mrs. Myrtle Hulse, 84, of Marshalltown, a former Ottumwa, died at a hospital in Marshalltown Saturday night. She was born May 10, 1885, in Green Mountain, the daughter of W.G. and May Laird McAfee. On Aug. 20, 1913, she was married to James Edward Bowen. He died in 1924. On Feb. 27, 1950, she married Roy Hulse. They lived in Gladbrook until Mr. Hulse's death in 1963. She had since then been confined to a nursing home. Survivors include one son, Hubert Andrew Bowen of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Flora Kaufmann of Beaman and Helen Applegate of Jewell. The funeral will be at Estel-Perrin Funeral Home in Marshalltown at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery in Ottumwa at 1 p.m.
